Santa Margarita 2008

In September of 2008 we headed to Santa Margarita for a weekend trip.  I don't have a lot of information on this, and we didn't take too many pictures.  But the biggest memory of this place was the beehive we apparently parked our camper on, which is most likely why we did not take too many photos.  When we were cooking dinner they were trying to get into our screened in tent.  One piece of chicken that we did not eat we through out to attract them away from our campsite, they swarmed it.  The next morning it was gone, leaving us to imagine the bees ate it, however, most likely it was eaten by a coyote or racoons, but we like to think the Killer Bees of Margarita ate it.

"Mommy I really want to go outside"

"No sweetie, there are killer bees out there right now"

On our way back we spent some time in Santa Barbara

Here we are parked just outside the Santa Barbara Historical Museum.

Pinery park camping

Apparently after our trip to Utah, we took quite a camping hiatus.

The next known/remembered camping trip we took was in July of 2008.  There were more than just a few family changes in the 3 years since Utah.  We were officially married in April of 2006, had a 1 year old baby girl Josephine born March 2007, and were living in California.  We also had two dogs, Hamlet (a Weimaraner) was added in 2006.  In July of 2008 we headed on trip to Canada with my sister Kate, brother-in-law James, and their daughter Anna.

We visited Pinery Park in southwestern Ontario.  It was a fun quiet trip on the shores of Lake Huron.
Josephine and cousin Anna excited to get to the campground!
Probably the strongest memory I have of this place is Anna wanting/loving to push J around in the stroller.
Josephine having a refreshment at the beach.
My sister Kate, Anna, and James at the Beach.
Sarah and J, Kate and Anna getting ready for the hike, both girls fell asleep on this hike, I'm sure it was very relaxing.
